Esandi is studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), majoring in Electrical.

She graduated from Brisbane State High School in 2019 as the recipient of the prestigious David Sutton Award for All-Round Excellence in Academia, Leadership and Community Service.

During her time in high school, Esandi was an avid debater, being awarded the 2019 Speaker of the Finals Award at the Queensland Debating Union Championship and also represented Queensland in the National Evatt Model UN Competition.

Esandi was highly committed to her role as a Student Staff Member for the 2020 National Youth Science Forum, where she aimed to empower the next generation of STEM leaders from around Australia.

She has always been passionate about science and innovation, receiving the 2019 Peter Doherty Award for Excellence in STEM Education as an Outstanding Senior STEM Student.

During her time at UQ, she aims to engineer solutions to reduce carbon emissions, particularly exploring solar and nuclear energy production. Esandi also aspires to spend a semester studying abroad in Europe, inspired by their successful achievement of renewable energy targets.

Outside of her studies, Esandi enjoys all kinds of dancing, baking and spending time with her friends. She is extremely honoured to be a part of the second cohort of Liveris Academy Scholars.
