Amber is studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), with a major in chemical and biomedical engineering.
Amber graduated from Rangi Ruru Girls’ School in Christchurch in 2019, as Proxime Accessit and was awarded the Dorothy Bates prize for the student with outstanding potential, as well as the foreign language prize for Spanish. In her senior year of high school, she was proud to hold the leadership position of Head of Form Seniors, where she coordinated and ran a wellbeing program for 450 junior students, as well as serving on the school's senior service council where she organised service events for the school and local community.
Over her high school years, Amber maintained a dedication to STEM and was fortunate enough to take part in many different science and leadership development opportunities including attending the Global STEM Alliance Summit in New York, and two weeks at the NASA Johnson Space Center at CASE Space School.
