Liveris Academy - Affiliate Scholar
Taha commenced a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Queensland in 2023, after graduating Dux of St James College with the highest ATAR in its history.
At UQ, he represents his faculty and the university in forums such as the Queensland Commitment and HEDx, advocating for student voice, contributing to broader initiatives, and enacting change. Deeply interested in entrepreneurship and innovation, he co-founded PhysAlign, an AI-driven physiotherapy tool that placed second at Australia’s largest student-led hackathon and attracted major interest from industry leaders and investors.
Outside of his studies, Taha volunteers tutoring refugee students and founded Interlink Care Services, an aged care company assisting clients from CALD backgrounds, providing culturally responsive care and improving access for underserved communities.
In his personal time, Taha enjoys reading, reciting Persian poetry, and watching films. He believes art is imperative to the human soul, uniting people across cultures and languages, and providing a shared expression of what makes us human.
As a member of the Liveris Academy, Taha is excited to accelerate his leadership, connect with like-minded scholars, and learn from experts who have navigated complex challenges. He is driven by a strong purpose of giving back and creating meaningful impact in healthcare, with the long-term goal of pursuing a career as a doctor and leading system-level improvements in medicine.
