Agnethe is studying a Bachelor of Engineering (honours) and Master of Engineering, at The University of Queensland. She is passionate about broadening her perspectives and using engineering to develop meaningful and sustainable solutions.
In 2023, Agnethe graduated as College DUX of Matthew Flinders Anglican College with an ATAR of 99.95 and received a Scholars award for ‘Love of Learning’, reflecting her academic curiosity and commitment to excellence that she now brings to her engineering studies.
At UQ, Agnethe is an active member of the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholars Program, engaging in networking and enrichment opportunities. She is motivated by real-world impact and eager to contribute to both industry and research projects that translate science into practical solutions that improve quality of life and environmental outcomes. For example, Agnethe is particularly interested in metabolic and tissue engineering to address climate change and advance medical treatment.
Outside of her academic endeavours, Agnethe enjoys spending time outdoors through hiking, running and biking, alongside creative pursuits such as knitting and crocheting. She has also developed her practical leaderships skills through her involvement in scouting, shaping her resilience, initiative, and community-outlook.
Agnethe is grateful to be a part of the Liveris Academy and looks forward to connecting and working alongside other scholars to lead a sustainable future.
