Bachelor of Science
Vice-Chancellor's Scholar
Se Yeon is currently studying a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Biomedical Science, at the University of Queensland, with a strong interest in clinical medicine.
In 2023, she graduated from St Margaret's Anglican Girls School as School Captain and Dux of School, achieving an ATAR of 99.95. As School Captain, Se Yeon represented the student body, mentored younger students, and worked closely with faculty to organise community and school-wide initiatives. She was also actively involved in extracurricular pursuits, including playing the cello and flute, supporting her appreciation for balance between academic and creative development.
Beyond her academic commitments, Se Yeon has demonstrated a sustained commitment to community service. She has volunteered with Sony Camp, supporting children with disabilities through inclusive recreational programs, and with Lifeline Bookfest, contributing to large-scale fundraising initiatives that support mental health services across Queensland.
Alongside her undergraduate studies, Se Yeon is actively involved in the UQ Premedical Society. In 2025, she served as Vice-President (External Relations), and currently holds the role of Secretary. Through these positions, she has contributed to student advocacy, coordinated communications with internal and external stakeholders, and implemented a fortnightly student newsletter to strengthen connection and engagement within the premedical student community. In her spare time, Se Yeon enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and experimenting with new recipes.
She is honoured to be selected as a member of the Liveris Academy and looks forward to collaborating with peers to explore leadership and sustainability challenges within healthcare and beyond.
