Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering
Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholar
Bethany is undertaking a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master of Engineering, with the goal of becoming a mechanical or civil engineer, possibly specialising in mining. She has loved mathematics and innovation from a young age, which has driven her to actively participate in clubs and events that further her skills and interest in this field. As part of this, she served as a school captain and was involved in clubs such as Innovation and ENIGMA (Entrepreneurship, Networking, Gamification, Mechatronics, and Artificial Intelligence), allowing her to strengthen both her technical abilities and leadership skills.
She aspires to become a leader who is reliable, strong, and supportive, and hopes to continue developing these qualities during her time at Liveris Academy. Bethany places a strong value on academics and sets high goals for herself, enabling her to achieve more than she initially believes possible. She has ambitious plans for the future and is motivated to put in the effort required to reach them.
Outside of academics, Bethany’s hobbies include surfing, kitesurfing, rock climbing, reading, and crafts. She uses these activities as a way to recharge from a busy academic life, and she also keeps an ideas journal to record problems and solutions she finds day to day.
She is extremely grateful for the opportunity Liveris Academy has given her and is excited about the chance to collaborate with a range of like-minded peers to create a more sustainable future for both present and future generations.
