Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours)
Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholar

Arya Iyer is studying a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics, motivated by a desire to work at the intersection of finance, economics, and decision-making, where policy and capital can shape outcomes on a broad scale.

Graduating from Sheldon College in 2024, her academic endeavours resulted in her attainment of a 99.7 ATAR, recognition as College Dux, and the culmination of a stellar academic record, having achieved the Dux award for five consecutive years. Her academic excellence is complemented by a strong focus on leadership, exemplified through her role as College Captain and a range of representative positions, including Queensland Youth Member of Parliament and United Nations Young Professional. She was also the recipient of the ADF Long Tan Leadership Award and was named Redlands Young Citizen of the Year Finalist, in recognition of her contributions to the local community.

Alongside her academic and civic pursuits, she is a passionate tennis player who competed at state level throughout high school and was awarded Tennis Player of the Year for two successive years. Additionally, she is an accomplished singer and pianist, valuing creative expression as a vital equipoise to analytical thinking.

Following her high school graduation, Arya undertook a gap year in 2025, during which she volunteered in rural communities and worked within the agricultural sectors in Botswana. This experience deepened her global perspective and provided valuable insight into cultural diversity, effective collaboration, and sustainability.

Arya is honoured to be a member of the Liveris Academy and looks forward to learning, growing, and contributing within a community that inspires purpose-driven leadership.
