Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Engineering
Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship
Reuben is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Engineering program, majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Reuben aspires to push the frontiers of rocketry and space exploration, with a goal to secure the future sustainability of humanity.
Reuben graduated as Dux of Toowoomba Anglican School in 2024, receiving an ATAR of 99.8. He was awarded the School Council Award for Most Outstanding Achievement, the Emma Mactaggart Prize for Creative Writing, the QCE Subject Achievement Commendation for achieving a score of 100 in Mathematical Methods, and the ADF Future Innovators Award.
Throughout his schooling, Reuben dedicated himself to a host of events and activities, both within and outside of the school community, out of his passion for learning and trying new things. He particularly enjoyed playing football and basketball, and playing trombone in the school bands, for which he received the Conductors Award for demonstrating leadership and respect. He has also explored his passion for humanitarian service, notably through volunteering in Cambodia to build houses to lift families out of poverty.
Reuben has held various leadership positions, including School Prefect in 2024, Sport Captain in 2023, and captain of the senior football team, through which he developed important leadership skills and worked hard to give back to his community. Through high school, Reuben has also offered himself as an unofficial tutor for his peers struggling with schoolwork inside and out of class, organising group sessions approaching exams.
Outside of school, Reuben enjoys mountain biking, playing drums, and working on coding and electronics projects.
Reuben is endlessly grateful and excited for the opportunity to be a member of the Liveris Academy and is looking forward to learning from inspirational leaders and changemakers.
