Kyuss Greaves

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering
Dow STEM Scholarship

Kyuss is entering his first year in an integrated Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering. He plans to specialise in Electrical and Computer Engineering to explore his passion for invention and understanding the universe through experimental physics.

Kyuss graduated from Glenmore State High School in 2024 after an accelerated curriculum program, achieving Dux and numerous accolades including the Prix d’Honneur for six consecutive years, ADF Future Innovators, and Doug Hamilton Memorial. During Year 12, he completed a mathematics course externally through UQ with a High Distinction (7). He meanwhile plays multiple musical instruments for community events, most memorably including theatre restaurants and ANZAC Day marches.

As the senior Cultural Captain, Kyuss has always embraced being an ambassador for the arts and cultures of his peers, hoping to further unite the experiences, beliefs, and traditions of people internationally. The broader visions he aims to achieve include fostering a global society built on mutual aid and the eradication of all forms of discrimination. Kyuss sees technology as a potential solution to the existential problems standing as barriers to his vision.

Outside academic endeavours, Kyuss eagerly seeks out new skills and experiences, taking up an everchanging variety of hobbies centred around learning and people. These broadly range absorbing mountains of books, volunteering independently and through nonprofits, and learning his heritage language, Austrian German.

Kyuss is honoured to receive the invaluable support that the Liveris Academy provides scholars. He strives to seize this opportunity and build on the skills in leadership and innovation essential in his effort to achieve his global vision.
