Jordan Royal

Bachelors of Journalism / Laws (Honours)
Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship

Jordan is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Journalism and Laws (Honours) and is honoured to be a recipient of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholarship and a member of the Liveris Academy. She is committed, through her studies and work within the Academy, to creating a more just, diverse, and sustainable future for the Australian music industry.

In 2023, she graduated from All Hallows’ School with an ATAR above 99 and received a QCE Certificate of Academic Commendation for achieving an ‘A’ in at least six subjects. Throughout her time at school, she was actively involved in cultural, sporting, and volunteering initiatives. This included volunteering for organisations like Eat Up and Brisbane Central State School tutoring, as well as mentoring younger students.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Jordan has a strong desire to transform the Australian music industry. She hosts a radio show on 4ZZZ which is devoted to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in broadcasting while highlighting up-and-coming and local musicians.

Each week, she features and interviews artists, providing them with a platform to share their music. She has also gained hands-on experience in stage management at major events such as Woodford Folk Festival and BIGSOUND. Additionally, she undertakes part-time work at Southern Cross Austereo as a Brand Experience Assistant for both B105 and Triple M radio. These experiences have deepened her understanding of industry challenges and strengthened her leadership skills.

Outside of academics, she enjoys cooking, going on runs and playing the bass guitar.
Jordan is honoured to be a part of the Liveris Academy and is looking forward to the chance to collaborate with other Scholars to learn, develop, and create a more sustainable and brighter future.
