Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Medicine (Provisional Entry)                                                                                Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar

Lachlan is studying a Bachelor of Science with provisional entry to the Doctor of Medicine program at the University of Queensland. He is completing an extended major in Biomedicine, which is driven by a passion for medical innovation.

In his time at Sheldon College, Lachlan was actively involved in academic, sporting and service communities, serving as Mathematics Prefect, First Team Indoor Cricket Captain and student mentor in 2021. His academic efforts led him to graduate as College Dux and placed him among the top 32 students in Queensland with an ATAR of 99.95.

Outside of his studies, Lachlan used his experience to create an education platform, Study Hack. He has led a team of highly distinguished tutors in the Redlands City Council to help over 100 young adults excel academically and develop critical thinking skills. He has also involved himself in a range of extra-curricular activities, including the 2023 UQ Taiwan Study Tour and a Summer Research Project investigating muscle asymmetries in Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis. He hopes to utilise his experiences in education, healthcare, and medical research to lead a sustainable future in global public healthcare and preventative medicine.

Furthermore, Lachlan is a lifelong martial artist, having earned black belts in Koryu Uchinadi Karate and Aiki Kenpo JuJutsu. He believes these endeavours are a leading reason for his discipline and commitment to excellence.

Lachlan is grateful for his involvement in Liveris Academy and looks forward to the opportunities to work with other scholars to lead a sustainable future.
