Oscar Wilkins

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Commerce (Finance)
Vice-Chancellor's Scholar

Oscar is commencing his third year studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in mechatronic engineering and finance.

In 2019, Oscar graduated from St. Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace as Proxime Accessit, receiving an ATAR of 99.90. During his senior year, he was strongly involved in the college being a house captain, first XI football player and breakfast van volunteer for the homeless.

Oscar currently loves the intersection between finance and engineering and is equally invested in both sides of his degree. In 2022, Oscar enjoyed working overseas at a Singaporean start-up business, building a university-winning mechatronics system, and learning in depth about the mathematical complexities of the financial markets. In 2023, Oscar is excited to continue his role as an engineering tutor, be involved as a sponsorship director in his university finance society, and further explore the exciting opportunities of his degree.

Outside of university, Oscar tutors high school mathematics and science and enjoys all things to do with soccer. He is an Office US fanatic, Scrabble nerd, and loves any sort of outdoors activity.

Oscar believes in making the most of every opportunity and is always looking for the next challenge. His love of learning and desire to be the best he can be means he thoroughly enjoys being a part of the Liveris Academy.
