Liveris Undergraduate Scholar

Megan is studying a double degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts, majoring in chemical engineering. She hopes this degree will allow her to tackle sustainability issues and the social dynamics behind them.

Megan Jones graduated from Clairvaux Mackillop College in 2018, where she received an OP 1 and school Dux. She was the Social Justice and Engagement Captain at her school and a committed member of the St Vincent De Paul Society.

Megan is a Duke of Edinburgh Award recipient and enjoys travelling, reading and playing hockey. In 2019, Megan had a Gap Year. She volunteered in Nepal teaching English and worked on a Summer Camp in America for children experiencing homelessness. These experiences catalysed Megan's passion for social and environmental justice.

It is Megan's goal to use chemical engineering to address plastic pollution in a way that empowers vulnerable people. She wants to help create a circular economy that identifies and builds on environmentally friendly, sustainable solutions that protect people and the planet.
