Matilda is commencing a Bachelor of Mathematics in 2026. She is passionate about mathematics and its potential for large-scale impact, especially when protecting the environment. Opportunities and connections formed in the Liveris Academy will shape her future impact.
Matilda graduated as Dux of A.B. Paterson College in 2025 with an ATAR of 99.95, achieving the highest result in Queensland in five of her six subjects and receiving a QCE Distinguished Academic Achievers award. She has represented Australia at the international Global Link conference and conducted research on environmental education through the Non-Trivial Fellowship Program, focussed on effective altruism.
In year 12, she served as Community and Wellbeing Leader, Public Speaking Captain, Cross Country Captain and Drama Captain, where she produced an original play. Matilda will continue to bring her enthusiasm and initiative to every opportunity as a member of the Liveris Academy. As not only a talented problem solver, but a confident public speaker, communicator and motivator, she strives to use her unique and comprehensive skill set to support and further her impact.
When at home on the Gold Coast, Matilda loves bike riding, going to the beach and volunteering at her local Main Beach Parkrun.
