Ethan Chin

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) & Bachelor of Mathematics
Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholar

Ethan Chin is commencing his studies in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Bachelor of Mathematics dual degree. Ethan aims to combine his passion for mathematics with engineering-based applications to become a standout graduate in this new age of technological advancements. Aware of the exponential growth in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, he aspires to be a change-maker in this exciting industry and ensure that fairness and ethics are preserved in the wake of such new discoveries.

Ethan graduated from Mansfield State High School in 2025, receiving an ATAR of 99.65 along with subject awards in all 6 of his QCAA Subjects, and the title of Mansfield’s IT Student of the Year. In Grade 12, he served in Mansfield’s Leadership Team as an Academic Prefect, and contributed to his school’s instrumental program as a senior percussionist. Ethan is extremely honoured to have led, and be a part of a senior cohort that excelled in not just academics, but in their sporting, cultural and community ventures as well.

Outside of his studies, Ethan has the privilege of being a volunteer Youth Leader at his local church; a commitment that allows him to lead Grade 7 students in their faith, as he contributes to a purposeful youth program for high-school students. Ethan continues to mentor high-school students by utilising his expertise in QCAA mathematics and sciences to provide high-level tutoring for students who want to excel in their studies. In his free time, although not as athletically gifted as his peers, Ethan enjoys following sports, particularly football and tennis, and also continues to exercise his passion for music by serving in the Creative Team at his Church.

Ethan is extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a Liveris Scholar. He is excited to learn from the experiences of inspiring industry professionals, while collaborating with other Scholars to tackle impactful challenges and contribute to the Academy’s vision of Leadership and Innovation.
