Ariella Paliza

Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) & Master of Engineering
Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship

Ariella is studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering, specialising in chemical engineering. She is driven by a desire to understand and influence sustainable engineering systems that address complex global challenges.

Her worldview was shaped by growing up across different countries and cultures, including becoming fluent in French whilst attending the French International School in Laos, before completing her secondary education in Australia. These experiences instilled the values of adaptability, collaboration, and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.

During school, Ariella established strong leadership foundations as Academic Captain and Student Ambassador, while excelling academically in her STEM disciplines. Her creativity extended into Film, Television and New Media, for which she received the QCAA Subject Achievement Commendation Award.

In recognition of her demonstrated potential and leadership in STEM, Ariella was awarded the 2025 Sandra Cook Women in STEM Award through her local Zonta club. Through this affiliation, she contributed towards their humanitarian initiative, providing birthing kit packages to support women in developing countries. As a keen swimmer, she dedicated over 275 hours to serving her local community as a volunteer surf lifesaver.

At university, Ariella has completed the EAIT Leaders Pathway Program, and is now an EAIT Student Leader. Outside of this, she enjoys taking her dog to the beach, joining Parkrun, going to the gym and exploring new places.

Ariella is immensely grateful for the opportunity to become a Liveris Academy Scholar, and looks forward to learning and collaborating alongside her peers and mentors to create lasting change towards a more sustainable world.
