Liveris Academy Undergraduate Scholarship (2025)
Naomi commenced her studies in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) program in 2025, specialising in electrical engineering. She is excited for the many opportunities to learn new skills, in hopes for a career where she can do hands-on work and problem-solve, with a tangible ability to help others.
Naomi is a 2024 graduate of Townsville Grammar School. Throughout high school, Naomi spent most of her time with her fellow rowers at the shed, sang in a vocal quartet and played electric guitar in the Big Band, and still likes to do many of these at university. In her final year, she learned valuable lessons in her roles as Prefect, Wellbeing Leader and Rowing Captain.
Although Year 12 was hard, she was surrounded by supportive teachers who instilled in her a love for problem solving and for STEM. She wants to apply her skills to help others and leave her mark in STEM, and inspire others to do the same. She hopes that with her degree and the unique opportunities offered through the Liveris Academy, she will be able to bring her passion to life in a meaningful way.
