Hugh Clarke

Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours)
Ravago Scholar

Hugh Clarke  commenced a Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) in 2023, with an aim to major in finance and business analytics.

Hugh discovered his passion for a career in the corporate world after studying Accounting and Business Studies during his senior schooling. He is drawn to the profound influence that corporate entities have on society and the future. As part of Business Studies academic work Hugh created a feasible business plan revolving around his strong interest in the automotive industry. His plan “Hobart Auto Education” aimed to provide everyday Tasmanians with the necessary skills to be self-sufficient in the basic servicing and repair of their motor vehicles. The plan was the Tasmanian State Division One Winner in the 2021 Business Educators Australasia Plan Your Own Enterprise Competition.

Hugh Graduated from The Hutchins School in Hobart, Tasmania in 2022. He received Dux of the School and an ATAR of 99.65. Hugh has also been actively involved in the Tasmanian community, collectively raising over $27,000 for Reclink Tasmania through his prefect role as the Head of the Hutchins Community Events and Fundraising Committee.

Aside from academics Hugh enjoys going to the gym, swimming, working on cars and catching up with friends. He also works part-time both at a grocery store and a restaurant.

Hugh is honoured to receive the Ravago Group Scholarship and is excited to be involved with all the opportunities that the Liveris Academy has to offer and to engage with a range of like-minded scholars.
