Vice-Chancellor's Scholar (2022)

Claudia is in her final year of Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Queensland. After travelling Australia in a caravan as a child, Claudia developed a passion for technology assisted sustainability, in order to preserve the beautiful Australian landscape. She graduated in 2021 as dux of her school with an ATAR of 99.95, and enjoyed developing her leadership skills in various co-curricular captain roles.

Through completing internships at both Google and Atlassian, Claudia has gained confidence in her skills and agency within the technology space. She hopes to use these experiences alongside those gained in her degree to better understand the potential of technology and innovate impactful sustainability-focused solutions.

Claudia was also the founder and president of UQ Reality Labs, UQ’s first virtual and augmented reality society. Through educating and empowering students to use technology at the forefront of industry, Claudia aims to help bridge the gap in skills between university and industry and increase the confidence and employability of her peers. Claudia also achieves this through regularly speaking at schools, leadership and academic based panels, and tech conferences.

She is a passionate and enthusiastic member of the Liveris Academy, and is grateful for the opportunity it has provided her to connect with others and explore the intersection between her passions and skills.
