Penelope is currently studying a dual Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree at UQ with the goal to major in either Finance or Business Analytics. Through this combination of study disciplines Penelope is able to broaden her career options in order to enter the business world with the legal expertise to assist companies adopt innovative and sustainable practices into their program.

In 2019, Penelope graduated from Brisbane Girls Grammar School (BGGS), where she was elected as House Captain and a member of the Student Council. Through these leadership responsibilities she played an instrumental role in assisting the school adopt more sustainable recycling practices. By designing bin stickers which outlined proper recycling habits, she was able to educate and assist students reduce overall wastage. 

Some of Penelope’s key interests outside of the classroom include playing both netball and basketball, as well as returning to her old school where she now enjoys coaching the younger girls and sharing her passion for the sports. Penelope was also heavily involved in speech and drama during her schooling where she completed her AMEB Letters Exam, obtaining a High Distinction, as well as being selected to compete in the Australian Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships. 

As a Liveris Associate, Penelope greatly looks forward to collaborating with likeminded students that share her passion for sustainability in order strive towards a more innovative future. Through this program Penelope hopes to develop her critical thinking and leadership abilities, thus allowing her to enter the workforce ready to tackle complex global issues head on and devise modern solutions.
