Flynn Pearman

Liveris Academy Alumnus

Flynn graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours), majoring in mechanical engineering, and a Bachelor of Mathematics. He was a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar and was honoured to be selected in the first cohort of Liveris Academy Scholars in 2019. Flynn completed high school at Padua College, graduating as College Dux and was named a Distinguished Academic Achiever by the QCAA as one of the top 30 graduating students in Queensland.

The opportunities provided by the Liveris Academy profoundly shaped Flynn’s time at UQ. He particularly enjoyed working with all the scholars, discussions with global business leaders, and projects such as producing a podcast on the intersection of sports and sustainability.

Another highlight of Flynn’s university experience was spending a semester studying abroad at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Flynn is passionate about advancing the sustainability and liveability of our communities through urban mobility and our transport systems. He currently works at Veitch Lister Consulting, an advisory firm specialising in transport planning, policy and modelling.

Outside of work, Flynn enjoys golf, cricket, netball and Aussie rules. He loves to go hiking, skiing and travelling whenever he gets the chance.
