Atticus graduated from Tannum Sands State High as school Dux with an OP1 in 2019. At school Atticus developed a passion for chemistry and maths and was awarded the 2019 Peter Doherty Outstanding Senior STEM Student Award.

In 2020 Atticus commenced studying a double degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in chemical engineering. Having grown up in the industrial town of Gladstone, Atticus is passionate about how the resource industry can further increase its efficiency while ultimately becoming more sustainable. Atticus sees the development of chemical innovations as playing a major role in resolving these challenges.

Atticus is a dynamic undergraduate process engineer with 5 years of diverse industry exposure in process engineering, business development, and on-site metallurgical processes. With experience spanning multiple industries, including Worley, QAL Alumina Refinery, NRG Power Station, KBR, and HandPlus Robotics, Atticus has consistently demonstrated passion towards making a difference in the engineering field.

Outside of his studies Atticus enjoys soccer, tennis, volleyball, and the beach. He is also an active community member, volunteering for several community organisations.
