Zoe Cumming

Zoe is studying Electrical Engineering with a major in Biomedical Engineering, a program which combines her passions for problem solving and innovation. Zoe strives to be a leader in creating a more sustainable, inclusive and equitable future, whilst inspiring other women to build in their own capacity as leaders. Zoe graduated from Moreton Bay College in 2021 as College Dux, having been the highest academic achiever in her cohort in every year of her studies. On the basis of her exceptional Year 12 results, Zoe received a QCE Distinguished Academic Achievement Award, placing her in the top thirty students in Queensland. 

Additionally, Zoe was an active and passionate member of her college’s leadership and service life, undertaking the role of House Captain, serving as a long-standing member of the Student Representative Council and Amnesty International and being awarded the ADF Long Tan Award for Leadership and Teamwork in her final year. Zoe now continues her leadership and service journey as a sub-executive for Engineers Without Boarders, a mentor for the Young Achievers Program and as a Student Leader for UQ’s Women in Engineering program. 

As a Liveris Academy Vice Chancellor’s Scholar, Zoe endeavours to grow in her professional and leadership capabilities and broaden her understanding and perspective on global issues. She is honoured to have been awarded the opportunity to join like-minded peers in their collective pursuit of a better future.
