Sam completed a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) in 2023.  

Sam graduated from Centenary State High School in 2019 with a 99.90 ATAR equivalent and a Queensland Certificate of Academic Commendation. He was the Dux of Business Management, Chemistry and Legal Studies and was awarded the Humanities award for his achievement in Economics.

During his time at school, Sam participated in many mathematic and economic competitions, his favourite experience being flown to Melbourne to participate in the finals of the Choosemaths awards. He was heavily involved in the school community as an arts captain and the lead saxophonist of the school’s symphonic and jazz band. 

Working at the Queensland Treasury Corporation, Sam is establishing a career in finance and learning essential professional skills. As a member of the client divison, Sam learns while helping acheive positive outcomes across the entire state by working with utility providers, councils, government departments and social services. He is currently working in the data analytics side of the corporation and is excited to further improve his technical skills.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys practicing his musical instruments, solving Rubik’s cubes and puzzles, playing board games, and going camping.
