Vice-Chancellor's Scholar

Ethan is currently in his 2nd year of a Bachelor of Engineering specialising in Mechanical Engineering. In 2021, Ethan graduated as Dux of The Gap State High School with an ATAR of 99.90 and was later awarded the UQ Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship. He also was recognised with a QCE Distinguished Academic Achievement Award, signifying his place within the top 36 Queensland students for 2021.

Throughout his high school experience he was actively involved in competitive sport, competing in Australian Rules Football and swimming until Year 12. Furthermore, he engaged in several school music ensembles as a cellist and participated in community ensembles including the Queensland Youth Orchestra. His commitment to these extracurricular activities contributed to his appointment as Arts Captain for 2020-2021.

Ethan strived to improve student life and enhance the Arts culture at the Gap State High School during his time as Arts Captain. His successful execution of this role was displayed through the effective delivery of various school events including Mental Health Week, the Gap Talent Quest, and Trivia Nights at senior and junior music camps. Moreover, his leadership capabilities were commended when he received the ADF Long Tan Leadership Award for Year 12.

Ethan now works for Elevate Education and privately tutors several students. On weekends he enjoys leading high school youth groups at his church.

He is grateful for the opportunity to work within the Liveris Academy and is eager to further develop his critical thinking and leadership skills alongside like-minded peers.
