Young Achievers Program (YAP) Scholar
Nina is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Engineering specialising in chemical engineering. Her growing passion for sustainability and innovation has also led her to major in environmental engineering. Nina's interest for STEM and leadership was fostered during her time at Rochedale State High School where she served as Cultural Captain and was awarded the ADF Future Innovator Award. These experiences developed her commitment to engineering and inspired her to remain actively involved in leadership throughout her university journey.
With her involvement in the Young Achievers Program, Nina initially participated as a mentee and has since continued her impact as a mentor. In this role, she supports high school students by guiding them through their final years of schooling whilst sharing insights into university life. Nina is also highly involved in student life through her role as Vice President of Media for the UQ Engineering Undergraduate Society. In this position, she leads the club's marketing initiatives through graphics and engaging content. Additionally, Nina has participated in the EAIT Leaders Pathway Program, where she further developed her understanding of effective leadership.Outside of university life, Nina enjoys dance, film, music and arts and crafts.
Nina is enthusiastic about learning, growing, and engaging with diverse perspectives. With this, she looks forward to the opportunities the academy provides to collaborate with others in a multidisciplinary environment.
