Blessy Mathew

Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours)
Vice-Chancellor's Scholar

Blessy Mathew graduated from Our Lady’s College, Annerley, in 2020, having achieved an ATAR of 99.90. She was awarded College DUX as well as the Principal’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Throughout her high school years, she fostered her interest in STEM by becoming a STEM Club leader through which she helped organise and conduct many STEM co-curricular clubs and activities. In this role, she was also nominated into the UQ Science Ambassador Program. In her senior year, Blessy was privileged to be elected to the Student Leadership Team with the role of Liturgy Leader.

In 2021, Blessy is studying a Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours). She hopes this degree will enable her to tackle the issue of the unequal distribution of the world’s resources, among others.

Outside of her studies, Blessy has a passion for reading, playing the piano and picking up spelling and grammar errors. She is very grateful to have grown up surrounded by people whose values and morals have inspired her to make a positive impact on the world. Blessy is looking forward to making the most of this opportunity with the Liveris Academy to learn more about how she can help contribute to a sustainable world where all human beings have equal access to the world’s resources and can coexist with nature.
