Billy Neale

Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Engineering
Rogers Family Scholarship Scholar

Billy started studying a Bachelor of Engineering/Master of Engineering, specialising in Civil Engineering, in 2025. Born and raised in Logan Central, he graduated from Mabel Park State High School in 2023. With a passion for STEM and leadership, Billy excelled in his studies while representing his cohort as School Captain.

Following graduation, Billy pursued experience in the civil engineering industry. Starting a month before beginning university, he currently holds a position as an Undergraduate Civil Engineer at CPB Contractors. With over 1,000 hours of firsthand experience, Billy has quickly developed invaluable skills, connections, and insight within the industry. Through this experience, his study has become more grounded and insightful.

A proud Indigenous man from the Wonnarua Nation, Billy has made it a goal to represent and incorporate Indigenous peoples and culture into his work. He ultimately strives to standardise the integration of local Indigenous design, knowledge, and traditions into large-scale civil projects through open communication, education, and structured frameworks.

Grateful and enthusiastic, Billy is excited to utilise the valuable opportunities, lessons, and connections the Andrew Liveris Academy graciously provides.

Aside from his education and career, Billy enjoys cinema, socialising, and loves insects.
