Zennjo Searle

Liveris Academy Alumnus

Zennjo completed a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biomedical Science in 2022 and is looking forward to studying a Doctor of Medicine in 2023.

Coming from a multicultural background, Zennjo recognises the benefits of diversity in teams. In particular, how different cultures can contribute to innovation. Zennjo attended primary school in both Japan and Australia which contributed to his world view.

Later, he completed his secondary education on the Sunshine Coast where he was involved in community initiatives, including an outdoor movie night with the Buderim Foundation.

Zennjo’s love of university has led him to undertake his role as a residential advisor at one of the University of Queensland’s residential colleges. He enjoys mentoring first year students and helping them transition to living away from home and participating in tertiary education. He is also a leader of the University of Queensland’s Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS).

Zennjo’s passion for learning extends beyond his academic pursuits. He frequently takes time to develop skills in a variety of areas including photography and video, music composition and software development. Most recently he has been working to launch a mobile application.

In his spare time, Zennjo enjoys playing guitar in his band Friday Marmalade and going surfing.
